  • THE RECORD CRATE 34 Glebe Point Road Glebe, NSW, 2037 Australia (map)

JULY 30th, 2016 (SYDNEY, NSW) -- Boris Driver have organised another Festival in the Inner zones of Sydney under the moniker of The Humbletone Festival. This is the fourth such production and brings in two other amazing and staunchly independent, bands: Concrete Apples and The Phringe Dwellers. It's Saturday July 30th at the Record Crate in Glebe

Boris Driver previously hosted Humbletone Festivals at the Valve Bar and the Petersham Bowling Club with special guest artists of varying styles - the aim of which is to keep the DIY art scene of music for music's sake going strong in Sydney.

Concrete Apples have been playing shows around town in various low-key friendly venues. They show off their street cred and experience from having been in notable Sydney bands The High Society and Rack'n'Ruin. Strong songwriting backed by a professional rhythm section - every song will set your head on fire.

Your hosts, Boris Driver, will be showing a slightly softer aural assault this time around but still layer and texture the walls with a their distinctive brand of classic art-school rock meets shoegaze. Boris Driver features ex Alohas and Contra members.

The Phringe Dwellers are the latest and greatest outfit from the guys who brought you The Hunchbacks and recently vacated Balkan Grill. Finely crafted garage and power pop - now with an extra layer of the fourth member and second guitarist. This will be an awesome show to witness.

The Record Crate are making a massive niche for themselves in Sydney by providing exactly what Sydney needs: a bar, a grill, a stage, and crates and crates of music on big black discs. We wonder how Glebe survived for so long without such an iconic place to worship at the altar of live, original, and independent music.

About The Hosts: Boris Driver are a seasoned original three piece band conjuring guitar-and-drum-based atmospheres with personal songs about life in Sydney, the history of rock and roll, and what it's like to be a lifelong music obsessive in this visually obsessed world. It's all DIY and do-it-because-we-love-it stuff.
