w/ FABELS + CODAKROHM
An afternoon of live improvisation, experimentation, psychedelia, soundscape, beauty, noise and dissonance.
Forenzics play The Record Crate in Glebe, Saturday 4th June 2016, doors at 2pm, all ages, with awesome support from electro-psych-shoegazers Fabels and improv-experimental-noisemakers Codakrohm.
Forenzics are a Sydney-based free music quartet with a distinct sound and attitude. Every performance is entirely unique, yet the sonic instincts and improvisation styles of each player transform the varied influences of post-rock, noise, jazz and electronic music into the bands’ distinctive, engaging, and ever-evolving aesthetic.
The line-up for this show features Matthew Syres and Dirk Kruithof on guitars, Joe Cummins on trumpet and effects, and the return of Joshua Isaac on drums and percussion.
Founded on an ethos of collaboration and experimentation, Forenzics have also worked with an amazing array of drummers and musicians including Louis Burdett, Finn Ryan, Alex Slater, Evan McGregor, Ryota Yamamura, Aemon Webb and founding member Ben Eadie.
Forenzics have released four albums, H3O (2009), Static and Silence (2010), Build Ruins (2011), and Malign (2015) which featured John Wilton on drums.
Live, Forenzics are a force to be reckoned with, taking their audiences on a journey that is sometimes wild and tumultuous, sometimes hypnotic and fragile, yet always transporting.
Watering cans and clotheslines on a sunny day, then the rain came so they went inside and started to play music. Cacophony of sounds through their brains was released into space, and their memories captured, and FABELS started its journey.
Fabels is the new project for Ben Aylward, singer composer with Australian 90s dream pop shoegazers Swirl and artist Hiske Weijers..
Pop music put in a blender with pedals looped with words.
Improvised avant-garde experimental noise duo featuring Roros on guitars and Mark Hall on guitars/percussion.
